Charles Sumner Dawson 
Charles Sumner was born on February 25th, 1866 in Beavertown, Pennsylvania.1 Charles Sumner's father was Ruel Reed Dawson and his mother was Salina Reed. His paternal grandparents were Robert D Dawson and Elizabeth Reed. He had three brothers and a sister, and also two siblings of unknown gender, named James, Daniel, Robert, Mary, Dawson and Dawson. He died at the age of 83 on June 4th, 1949 in San Bernardino, San B, California.1 General Notes

Daughter Alma took care of his funeral arrangements, as he had nothing. Death Certificate says informant was hospital records. !Before marrying Ina, he lived near the Towses--I think next door, and perhaps lived with a brother...!Joined the Cripple Creek gold rush, mining half the year. Appears on the
census as a gold miner, this info prob related to f-in-law Towse's 1898
written comment (in a letter written from Victor, Colo) that "the Little
Perrill mine that Chas is interested in is coming out ok"
