Ethel Lorena Ballentine 
Ethel Lorena was born on January 28th, 1889.1 Ethel Lorena's father was Silas Jessie Ballentine and her mother was Mary Jane Long. Her maternal grandparents were George J. Long and Louisa Malinda Shealy. She had three brothers and three sisters, named George Heber, Jesse Sidney, John Andrew, Lula Edna, Cora Magdalene and Mary Ina. She died at the age of 45 on December 22nd, 1934 in Lexington County, South Carolina. She was buried in St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery, Lexington, South Carolina.1 1 General Notes

Miss E. Ballentine

Lexington, Dec. 22--Miss Ethel Ballentine, 45, died at the home of her
sister, Mrs. J.E. Kaiser, today.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. J. Ed Kaiser of Lexington and Mrs. G.H.C.
Parks of Birmingham, Ala.; two brothers, G.H. Ballentine and J.S.
Ballentine of Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at St. John's Lutheran church near
Lexington Sunday afternoon, conducted by her pastor, the Rev. Legare
Swygert, assisted by Dr. A.B. Obenschain.
Internment will be in the church cemetery immediately afterwards.
