Jacob Luther was born on December 4th, 1835 in Prosperity, South Carolina.1 Jacob Luther's father was John Herman Aull and his mother was Eva Riser. His maternal grandparents were Martin Riser and Christina Sease. He had a sister named Louisa Catherine. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named William Martin, John, Sarah (Sallie), Susan, Christina and Elizabeth.
