‌Abraham and Philadelphia Whitehead were married in a religious ceremony in December 1764 in Amelia Co., Virginia.  They had five sons and four daughters, named John, William Lawson, Claiborne, Benjamin Lawson, Francis, Elizabeth Claiborne, Philadelphia, Polly and Sally Lucy.
