Baldwin III was born in 1130. Baldwin III's father was Foulques V de Anjou and his mother was Melisende de Jerusalem. His paternal grandparents were Foulques IV de Anjou and Bertrade de Montfort; his maternal grandparents were Baudouin II duBourg and Morphia. He had a brother named Aumaric I. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Geoffrey, Sybil and Matilda.-
