Richard Woodson 
Richard was born in 1662 in "Curles", Henrico Co., VA (another source 1668). Richard's father was Robert Woodson and his mother was Elizabeth Ferris. His paternal grandparents were John Woodson and Sarah Winston?; his maternal grandparents were Richard Ferris and Sarah Hambleton. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Robert, Joseph, Benjamin, Sarah, Elizabeth, Judith and Mary. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 68 in 1730.General Notes
RICHARD WOODSON married Ann Smith. He held 180 acres in Henrico County, 1704. His brother Robert on 4 March 1716/7 deeded to his "loving cozens (nephews) Obadia Woodson, John Woodson and Joseph Woodson, sons of Richard Woodson, deceased," 498 acres in Henrico County, being the third part of a patent to Robert Woodson dated 23 Dec 1714, and the same day conveyed 80 acres to his "loving Cozen Richard Woodson," son of Richard, deceased.
