Richmond was born on June 27th, 1753 in Albemarle Co., Virginia.  Richmond's father was Edward Walton. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Thompson, John, Ison, Elizabeth, Sally, Lucretia, Betty, Sally, Milly and Agnes.  He died at the age of 93 on December 14th, 1846 in Albemarle Co., Virginia.
