Matthew Pate Walton

Matthew Pate was born in 1780 in Hanover Co., VA.  Matthew Pate's father was Ison Walton and his mother was Elizabeth Wall.  His paternal grandfather was Edward Walton. He had a brother and four sisters, named John, Jane, Patsey, Ann and Mary.  He was the third youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 76 on August 15th, 1856 in Albemarle Co., Virginia.
