Maria Beverley was born in 1801 in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia. Maria Beverley's father was Bowker Waller and her mother was Philadelphia Claiborne Chew. Her paternal grandparents were John Waller and Ann Bowker; her maternal grandparents were John Chew and Ann Fox. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named Byrd, John, Robert Beverley, Louisa A. W., Mary Byrd, Caroline, Julia, Lucy C., Martha J. and Philadelphia C.. She died at the age of 70 in 1871 in St. Louis, Missouri.-
