Robert Knight was born before 1828. Robert Knight's father was James B. Turner and his mother was Polly Wormely Pryor. His maternal grandparents were William Pryor and Elizabeth Hughes. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named Peter Harry, William Oliver, Martin Luther, Claiborne, John Hughes, James B., Frank Marvin, Samuel, Richard, Molly and Susan. He was the fourth oldest of the twelve children.-
