Mary was born on April 14th, 1783 in Louisa Co., VA.  Mary's father was Peter Timberlake and her mother was Jane Peers.  Her paternal grandparents were Peter Timberlake and Mary ?. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Joel, John, James, Nancy and Jane.  She was the third oldest of the six children.
