James Thurston 
James was born about 1794 in Goochland Co., VA. James' father was Meriwether Thurston and his mother was Elizabeth Lowery. His paternal grandparents were William Bailey Thurston and Jean Jones; his maternal grandparents were Matthew Lowery and Elizabeth Goss. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Pleasant, Maria L., Joanna and Peggy. He died in 1829 in Goochland Co., VA.-
