Catherine R. was born in 1796 in Woodbury, Virginia. Catherine R.'s father was Albion Throckmorton and her mother was Mildred Washington. Her paternal grandparents were John Throckmorton and Rebecca Richardson; her maternal grandparents were Warner Washington and Hannah Fairfax. She had a brother and a sister, named Warner Washington and Hannah Fairfax. She was the youngest of the three children. She died in Nashville, Tennessee.-
