Martha was born in Hanover Co., Virginia.1 Martha's father was James Stanley and her mother was Catherine Hutchins. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Stanley and Rebecca ?; her maternal grandparents were Nicholas Hutchins and Mary Watkins. She had five brothers and two sisters, named William, James, Micajah, Strangeman, Elijah, Mary and Agnes. She died in North Carolina.-
