Elizabeth was born about 1625. Elizabeth's father was Henry Skipwith and her mother was Amy Kempe. Her paternal grandparents were William Skipwith and Margaret Cave. She had five brothers and two sisters, named William, Henry, Thomas, John, Grey, Diana and Anne.
