Joanna Sims 
Joanna was born on March 4th, 1761 in Aspen Grove Plantation, Albemarle Co., VA. Joanna's father was William Sims and her mother was Anister Step. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Sims and Joanna ?. She had three brothers and six sisters, named John, William, Richard, Nancy, Annestar, Agatha, Frances, Rosamond and Mary. She was the oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 91 on April 1st, 1852 in Rutherford, NC.-
