Edward was born about 1849. Edward's father was Jacob Brown Seay and his mother was Easther Pierce. His paternal grandparents were Abraham Bond Seay and Rosa Berriman Loving. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named John, Robert T., Thomas S. and Louisa.-
