David was born on August 19th, 1728 in Prince George Co., VA.  David's father was Israel Roberson and his mother was Sarah Williams. He had six brothers and a sister, named Matthew, John, Israel, Nicholas, Charles, George and Susannah.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 43 in 1771 in Tryon Co., NC.
