Sarah E. was born in 1834. Sarah E.'s father was Samuel G. Richardson and her mother was Mary Anne Kennon. Her paternal grandparents were George Washington Richardson and Elizabeth Barrett Payne; her maternal grandparents were John Kennon and ?. She had three brothers and four sisters, named William James, Robert S., John Samuel, Lucy M., Anna Maria, Susan S. and Ella Gray. She was the second oldest of the eight children.-
