William Giles Pleasants 
William Giles was born about 1854. William Giles' father was John Randolph Pleasants and his mother was Elizabeth Armistead Baker. His paternal grandparents were John Smith Pleasants and Nancy Thweat. He had a sister named Mary Carrington. He was the younger of the two children. He died in 1937.-
