William Barksdale Pleasants 
William Barksdale was born in 1812. William Barksdale's father was John Smith Pleasants and his mother was Nancy Thweat. His paternal grandparents were Jesse Pleasants and Elizabeth Smith; his maternal grandparents were Giles Thweat and Sarah Barksdale. He had a brother named John Randolph. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 80 in 1892.-
