Moten Bryant Payne

Moten Bryant was born on February 17th, 1901. Moten Bryant's father was George Lafayette Payne and his mother was Emma Viola Martin. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Payne and Nancy Emery Mahanes; his maternal grandparents were Marcellus Martin and Catherine ?. He had five brothers and six sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Charles Ennis, Frank Louis, Virgil Thomas, Leon Dabney, George Washington, Lucy Nora, Alice Emory, Florence Fleta, Effie Maude, Regina Gilliam, Ettie Jordan and (infant). He was the second youngest of the thirteen children. He died due to pneumonia at the age of 22 on January 23rd, 1924.
