Ann was born on October 7th, 1758. Ann's father was John Payne and her mother was Jane Smith. Her paternal grandparents were George Payne and Mary Woodson. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Phillip, John Smith, George Woodson, Robert, Jane, Mildred Matthews and Elizabeth Woodson. She had three half-brothers named Archer, Robert and John.-
