Parthenia E. was born in 1831. Parthenia E.'s father was John Newland and her mother was Celia Hoy. Her paternal grandparents were Abraham Newland and Mary Crews. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named Abraham Hoy, Ambrose Dudley, Anderson Christopher, Richard T., Jacob W., John G., William W., Polly and Sallie A.. She died at the age of 73 in 1904.-
