William Mosby 
William was born in 1757 in Cumberland Co., VA. William's father was Micajah Mosby and his mother was Maudlin Bedford. His paternal grandparents were Richard Mosby and Hannah Hand; his maternal grandparents were Stephen Bedford and Elizabeth Flippen. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Jesse, David, Hannah, Mary, Sarah, Lucy and Patty. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 86 on July 15th, 1843.-
