Nicholas was born in Cumberland Co., VA. Nicholas' father was Hezekiah Mosby and his mother was Elizabeth Cox. His paternal grandparents were Edward Moseley and Sarah Woodson; his maternal grandfather was Nicholas Cox. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Daniel, Edward, Samuel, Charles, Susanne, Mary, Sarah and Agness. He died on February 22nd, 1816 in Woodford, KY.-
