Betty McCarty's father was Joseph Morton and her mother was Frances Colston. Her paternal grandparents were John Morton and Mary Mountjoy. She had a brother named William Jordan. She had a half-sister named Margaret Sydenham. She died on September 13th, 1807. She was buried in Grace Episc. Chur., Goochland, VA.
