Charles Coatsworth Pinckney was born on January 4th, 1846. Charles Coatsworth Pinckney's father was Robert W. Martin and his mother was Elizabeth Ann Seay. His maternal grandparents were Abraham Bond Seay and Rosa Berriman Loving. He had six brothers and four sisters, named John Summerfield, George William Henry, Robert Warren Brown, James Francis, Albert Seaton, Daniel Green, Pauline Ann, Tennessee Virginia, Alabama and Rachel Josephine. He was the youngest of the eleven children.-
