William Claiborne Ligon 
William Claiborne was born on December 18th, 1796 in Prince Edward Co., Virginia. William Claiborne's father was William Ligon and his mother was Sarah Leigh. His paternal grandparents were William Ligon and Edith Turner; his maternal grandparents were John Leigh and Elizabeth Greenhill. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Henry A., John Leigh, Paschal Leigh, David Greenhill, Edith T. and Elizabeth Greenhill. He died at the age of 80 on April 12th, 1877 in Dover, Missouri.-
