John Leigh Ligon 
John Leigh was born on February 12th, 1802 in Prince Edward Co., Virginia. John Leigh's father was William Ligon and his mother was Sarah Leigh. His paternal grandparents were William Ligon and Edith Turner; his maternal grandparents were John Leigh and Elizabeth Greenhill. He had four brothers and two sisters, named William Claiborne, Henry A., Paschal Leigh, David Greenhill, Edith T. and Elizabeth Greenhill. He died at the age of 65 on November 15th, 1867.-
