John P. Lewis 
John P. was born in 1778. John P.'s father was Nicholas Lewis and his mother was Mary Walker. His paternal grandparents were Robert Lewis and Jane Meriwether; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Walker and Mildred Thornton. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Thomas Walker, Nicholas M., Robert Warner, Francis T., Charles, Jane W., Mildred W., Mary, Elizabeth, Alice Thornton and Margaret. He was the third youngest of the twelve children.-
