Benjamin was born about 1740 in Edgecombe Co., NC. Benjamin's father was William Kendrick and his mother was Sarah Jones. His maternal grandparents were Robert Jones and Rebecca Braswell. He had four brothers and four sisters, named James, John, Jones, Isham, Mary, Rebecca, Sarah and Martha. He died before 1777 in probably Bute Co., NC.-
