Ashton P. was born about January 1910. Ashton P.'s father was Walter Price Hall and his mother was Laura S. Rice. His maternal grandparents were Zephaniah James Rice and Mary Jane Stanley. He had two brothers and two sisters, named James Albert, Rosewell P., Mattie L. and Mary F.. He was the youngest of the five children.-
