Robert Beverly was born on April 25th, 1805. Robert Beverly's father was John Nelson Haden and his mother was Susanna Woodson Payne. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Haden and Mary Peattross; his maternal grandparents were George Payne and Agatha George. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named George Payne, Joseph Peattross, William Woodson, John Nelson, Samuel Hopkins, James Harvey, Walter Watts, Matthew R., Ann Maria and Mary Jane. He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children.-
