Philadelphia was born about 1758. Philadelphia's father was Thomas Fox and her mother was Philadelphia Claiborne. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Fox and Mary Tunstall; her maternal grandparents were William Claiborne and Elizabeth Whitehead. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Nathaniel, William, Joseph, Thomas, Ann and Elizabeth.-
