Robert Kay was born on May 24th, 1791. Robert Kay's father was Joseph Duval and his mother was Elizabeth Sheppard. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Duval and Anne Kay. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin, Joseph, Stephen, Obediah, Nancy, Elizabeth, Susannah and Sarah. He was the second youngest of the nine children.-
