Agnes Carr was born in 1801 in Albemarle Co., VA. Agnes Carr's father was Benjamin Childress and her mother was Ann Key Johnston. Her maternal grandparents were Henry Johnston and Agnes Carr Waller. She had four brothers and four sisters, named John Waller, Henry Johnston, Benjamin, Robert Minor, Dorothy Waller, Eliza Carr, Nancy Kay and Sophronia Jane. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.-
