Willie Roberta was born on August 19th, 1873 in Louisa Co., VA. Willie Roberta's father was Richard Wilson Carter and her mother was Sarah Alice Pace. Her paternal grandparents were Wilson Merrill Carter and Maria Bickley. She had eight brothers and seven sisters, named Leighton Barret, Walter F., Leonard, Lewis, David, William Broaddus, Marshall, James Aubrey, Mary Alma, Mamie Elvira, Katherine, Dorothy, Edith, Elizabeth and Virginia. She died at the age of 78 in 1951. She was buried in Ivy Creek Methodist Church, Charlottesville, VA.-
