Robert H. was born before 1791. Robert H.'s father was Abraham Carter and his mother was Mary A. Roberts. His paternal grandparents were Solomon Carter and Mary Ann Bickley; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Roberts and Elizabeth Clements. He had four brothers and a sister, named Joseph Roberts, Creed C., William, Joe and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the six children.-
