David Carden 
David was born on November 24th, 1772 and his baptism took place on February 28th, 1773 in St. James Northam Parish, Goochland Co, VA. David's father was Reuben Henry Carden and his mother was Anne Massie. His paternal grandparents were Robert Carden and Phyllis Wilbank; his maternal grandparents were David Massie and Anne Holland. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, James, Charles, Reuben Henry, Robert, Mary, Anna, Martha A., Elizabeth and Dicey.-
