Jane was born about 1638 in Yorkshire, England. Jane's father was Peter Beverley and her mother was Susannah Hollis. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Beverley and Frances Fairfax; her maternal grandfather was Robert Hollis. She had three brothers and a sister, named Philip, Henry, Robert and Anne. She was the oldest of the five children.-
