James A. Armistead 
James A. was born on June 24th, 1847 in Cumberland Co., VA. James A.'s father was Thomas DeMoval Armistead and his mother was Martha T. Wilson. His paternal grandparents were James A. Armistead and Nancy Miller. He had three sisters named Elizabeth, Nancy Miller and Fanny. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 71 on April 6th, 1919 in Farmville, Prince Edward Co., VA.-
