William Peyton was born on January 7th, 1802.  William Peyton's father was Matthew Anderson and his mother was Martha Tanner.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Anderson and Frances Jones; his maternal grandparents were Matthew Tanner and Lucy Bolling. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Archibald, Garland, Thomas Cary, Matthew Dawson, Fannie, Mary Lewis and Lucy Bolling.  He died at the age of 33 on July 23rd, 1835.
