Matilda "Atheling" was born in 1079 in , Dunfermline, Fifeshire, Scotland and her baptism took place in Scotland (Good Queen Maud) (Desc. Wm.Conq Xiv).1 Matilda "Atheling"'s father was Malcolm Canmore and her mother was Princess England Margaret "Atheling". Her paternal grandparents were Donnchad macCrínáin Duncan I and *Sibel Aelflad; her maternal grandparents were *Edward Atheling and Agatha Von Brunswick. She had eleven brothers and five sisters, named Heth, Donald, Edmund, Edmund Of, Duncan II of, Ethelred abbott of, Duncan II, Edgar, Alexander The Fierce, "The Saint" King Of Scotland David, Prince William, Sib. Of Edmund Of, Princess of Scotland, Thora, Breatrix and Millicent. She died at the age of 39 on May 1st, 1118 in Westminster Palace, England. She was buried in June 1118 in Church Of St Pet, Westminster, Middlesex, England.1 1 -
