John Gatlin 
John was born in 1848 in Ripley, Missouri, USA.1 John's father was *Nathaniel Prescott Gatlin and his mother was Nancy Moore. His paternal grandparents were Jesse Gatlin and *Polly Prescott. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Saunders Drise, William L, Alonzo, Robert, Ephriam, Marie Elizabeth, Mahala and Mary L. He was the second youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 22 in March 1870 in Ripley, Missouri, USA.-
