Edward was born in 1401.1 Edward's father was Sir John DeBerkeley or De Berkeley or Berkeley and his mother was ELIZABETH LADY BETTERSHORNE. His paternal grandparents were Lord Thomas, 3rd Baron, The Rich, DeBerkeley or De Berkeley or Berkeley and Catherine or Katherine or Katharine Clivedon or Clyvedon; his maternal grandparents were John Sir Bisterne Betteshorne and Goda Betteshorne. He had a brother and two sisters, named Maurice, *Elizabeth and Lady Alianore Berkeley. He was the youngest of the four children.-
