Earl Richard de Clare of Hertford

Richard was born before 1160.  Richard's father was Earl Roger de Clare of Hertford and his mother was Maud Hillary.  His paternal grandparents were Lord Richard Fitz-Gilbert of Clare and Earl Adeliz (Alice) le Meschin of Chester; his maternal grandfather was James de St. Hilary.  He was an only child.  He died in 1217.
