Earl Roger de Clare of Hertford

Roger was born before 1140.  Roger's father was Lord Richard Fitz-Gilbert of Clare and his mother was Earl Adeliz (Alice) le Meschin of Chester.  His maternal grandfather was Earl Ranulph le Meschin of Chester.  He was an only child.
