Captain Horace ALMON

Captain Horace was born on July 29th, 1886 in Cannon County, TN.¹ Captain Horace's father was Ephraim ALMON and his mother was Polemne Tennessee McGILL. His paternal grandparents were James ALMON and Frances RAWLINGS. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Stephen, John J., James William, Robert Lee, Amanda Jane, Polemne Tennessee, Mary Della and Laura Hester. He was the eighth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 87 in 1973 in Cannon County, TN. His burial was in 1973 in Riverside Cemetery, Cannon County, TN.²
