John, known as Bud, was born on January 20th, 1898 in Lark, Marshall County, OK.  Bud's father was Robert ALMON and his mother was Maggie Mae DODD.  His paternal grandparents were James ALMON and Frances RAWLINGS. He had three brothers named Bill, Joe and Jesse.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 75 on October 17th, 1973 in Los Angeles, CA.
